To Fall In Love With My Becoming

To fall in love with myself in the purest possible sense is to fall in love with all of reality.
It allows me to fall more deeply in love with my becoming—my fullest potential, my expansion, my authentic intrinsic nature, and the pure desire of all I wish to embody and actualize.

It allows me to maintain a more intimate, regular emotional connection with this becoming.
I must spend time with it.
Nurture it.
Feel it in my heart.

This is a relationship I desire to nurture, maintain, and grow.

And this connection will orient me when I am lost,
give me a sense of home when I feel unsafe,
ground me when I feel groundless,
and bring clarity to my decisions.

I may have fallen out of touch with this relationship at times.
But I desire to nurture and develop it—
to grow it into something truly powerful, beautiful, and effective.

In the same way I’ve wanted to grow other relationships,
I now choose to do this with myself first.

And I can see clearly now:
this is the main entrée.
This is the cake itself.
Everything else is sprinkles and fancy dessert.

The other amazing relationships and experiences in my life
are simply sprinkles on the cake
that is my becoming.

So I see where I must continue placing the power back in myself—
again and again,
every time I feel weakness of any kind.

It’s usually in those moments when I believe the “cake” is somewhere outside of me.

In each small moment of misplaced power,
I take my power back.
I reconnect with my relationship to myself and my becoming.
I strengthen the bond—again and again.

And in doing so,
fear, confusion, and weakness dissolve.

This makes it crystal clear what fits my expansion
and what does not.

Because from this love affair with my becoming,
other love affairs and experiences naturally grow.

And I can choose myself more easily in moments of difficulty,
because I’ve developed a strong, trusting relationship with myself.

In truth, this has always been my mantra:
to have one of the most passionate, epic, romantic love affairs
with my expansion of reality
that the universe has ever witnessed.
